Phase 1 Environmental Site Assessment <br /> Neighborhoods D,K,L,and'Town Center,Mountain House,California <br /> k Page 14 <br /> No changes are apparent in the 1993 photograph for Neighborhood D. The three small structures and yard <br /> r in the northeastern corner of Town Center are no longer apparent. Some of the structures have.been <br /> removed in the farm complex located east of the tributary in Neighborhood L. <br /> Polk city directories from 1961 through 2004 for Tracy, California were reviewed. The Site properties <br /> located along Mountain House Parkway, Grant Line Road, and Byron Road were not listed in any of the <br /> reviewed city directories. Seethe attached The EDR-CiDirecto Abstract in Appendix F. <br /> l <br /> 4.4 HISTORICAL USE INFORMATION FOR ADJOINING PROPERTIES <br /> Historical use information pertaining to the adjoining properties was researched using historical USGS <br /> topographic maps, aerial photographs, and city directories provided by EDR. Sanborn Fire Insurance <br /> Maps are not available for the adjoining properties. Copies of the topographic maps, aerial photographs, <br /> and city directories are included in Appendix F. <br /> USGS topographic maps dated 1914, 1968, and 1978 were reviewed. The 1914 map shows the Site <br /> vicinity is sparsely populated and in a rural area. A drainage flowing towards Neighborhood D is located <br /> on the southern adjoining property. A north/south trending access road in Neighborhood C to the east <br /> (with. a small structure located. to the west) extends from the southern boundary road (along <br /> Neighborhood D) through Neighborhoods E and H, then cross a road and the San Francisco and New <br /> Orleans Line railroad right-of-way into Neighborhoods I and J. A building is located on an adjoining <br /> wer <br /> f stem property to Town Center. Several buildings are located along the northwest southeast trending <br /> road and the aforementioned railroad-right of-way. east of Town Center. Three.drainages (trending <br /> northeast/southwest) extend through the southern properties of Neighborhoods I and J into Neighborhood <br /> K. Two structures are indicated in the southern portions of the adjoining neighborhoods. Two small <br /> k structures are located on either side of one of the drainages in Neighborhood J,just west of Neighborhood <br /> L's western boundary and north of the railroad right-of-way. A levee is indicated on the north side of Old <br /> River, the boundary between Neighborhoods K and L and the adjoining northern properties. White House <br /> Landing (a small structure) is indicated with an access road northeast of Bethany Ferry in Neighborhood <br /> L and north of Neighborhood K. A levee and waterway is located between the adjoining eastern property <br /> and Neighborhood L and a levee is located along the south side of Old River on the adjoining property <br /> east of Neighborhood L. <br /> j <br /> The 1968 map shows a waterway located along the 120-foot elevation line in the western and southern <br /> adjoining properties of Neighborhood D. Several small structures are Iocated west of the waterway along <br /> the southern boundary road. A pipeline (northwest/southeast trending) and.'a high voltage electrical line <br /> (northeast/southwest trending) are indicated in the adjoining properties surrounding Neighborhood D, <br /> extending through the neighborhood. The north/south trending road and small structure in Neighborhood <br /> C are no longer indicated. A small structure, a barn, and an artificial pond with an access road that <br /> extends through the eastern boundary of Town Center are west of Mountain House Creels. Patterson Pass <br /> Road is located between the eastern adjoining property and Town Center: a few of the small structures on <br /> the east .side. of the road are no Ionger indicated. Byron Road is the road located along the northern <br /> boundary of Town Center:'Southern Pacific is the name of the railroad right-of-way northeast of it. Byron <br /> Road is realigned west of the intersection of Byron Road and Patterson Pass Road. A small orchard <br /> surrounds the two small structures west of Neighborhood L. A levee is indicated on the southern side of <br /> Old River(north of Neighborhoods I, K, and L). The three drainages on the adjoining southern properties <br /> of Neighborhood K are no longer indicated, but a network of irrigation waterways are indicated <br /> throughout Neighborhoods I, J, K, and L. White House Landing (a small structure) and the access road <br /> are no longer indicated north of Neighborhood K. Finck Road is located along the northern levee of Old <br /> � J <br /> �•1� CONDOR <br />
