I <br /> SOIL SUITABILITY STUDY <br /> Introduction <br /> Live Oak GeoEnvironmental, Inc (Live Oak) was contracted by Ray Alger to conduct a <br /> Soil Suitability Study for the for the Alger property located at 10750 South Henry Road, <br /> Farmington, California (Plate 1). <br /> The Soil uitdttility Study was conducted to determine whether the soils are suitable for <br /> use with a septic system. The study was performed according to the requirements of <br /> Section 9�110�5�-afthe San Joaquin County Development code. <br /> The formatting of the report has been designed to follow the recommendations of the <br /> San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department as described in its Soil <br /> Suitability Study Requirements Checklist. <br /> Proposed Development <br /> The proposed project is a minor subdivision to divide the Site i to four) <br /> our arce s (Plate 2). <br /> No new development is planned. <br /> Site Description <br /> The Site is approxi J-O6. <br /> cres in size. It consists of Assessor's Parcel Numbers <br /> (APNs) 207-100-04 ae Site has three addresses, 10750 South Henry Road, <br /> 31005 East Dodds R11300 South Henry Road, Farmington. The County <br /> project application nu -1000160. The Site consists of crop land and pasture <br /> land with a calf and cattle facility located on its western side. Five manure ponds are <br /> located at the cattle facility, and a natural pond is located at the northeast corner of the <br /> Site. A field road crosses Parcel -04, the northern of the two parcels. Two residences <br /> are also located on the Site. An irrigation canal cros§es th- sout st corner of the <br /> Site. A recent aerial photograph of the Site is included as Plate 3. <br /> The elevation of the Site, according to a United tates Geological Survey topographic <br /> map, is approximately 135 to 165 feet above can s vel. The ground surface in the <br /> area slopes downward gently toward the est (Plate 4). <br /> The San Joaquin County Community Develop ent Department web site states that the <br /> Site is zoned AG-40, general agriculture with a minimum parcel size of 40 acres. This <br /> zoning designation "is established to preserve agricultural lands for the continuation of <br /> commercial agricultural enterprises." <br /> LOGE1030 Page 1 <br />
