PA-0700491 OF TU THANH (C/O SAN <br /> H. HOANG LE, ETAL) (APN: 183-170-03) (ADDRESS: 2314 S. <br /> HOLLENBECK ROAD, STOCKTON) <br /> The project is a Use Permit application for a phased food processing and manufacturing <br /> operation. The project consists of the raising of pigeons and the processing and <br /> manufacturing of pigeon meat for sale to wholesale markets. Phase1 to be completed in <br /> 18 months consists of the raising of 2,000 pigeons for the on-site processing and <br /> manufacturing of pigeon meat, the construction of an 80 square foot pigeon loft and the <br /> utilization of two existing 2,200 square foot buildings. Building two (2) to be utilized as a <br /> processing unit, Building three (3) to be utilized as storage, cooler and freezer unit. <br /> Phase 2 to be completed in five (5) years, will consist of the addition of 3,000 pigeons for <br /> a total of 5,000 pigeons, and the expansion of the existing 80 square foot pigeon loft to <br /> 1,840 square feet. (Use type: Animal Raising, Small Animals, Agricultural Processing, <br /> and Food Manufacturing). <br /> The proposed project site will be contained within 2.0 acres of a 117.61 acre site. The <br /> parcel is located at the terminus point of Hollenbeck Road, east of Stockton. The parcel <br /> has a General Plan designation of A/G/OS/RC (General Agriculture and Open Space <br /> Resource Conservation) and is zoned AG-40 (General Agriculture-40 acre minimum). <br /> The Community Development Department has reviewed the project and offers the <br /> following comments: <br /> Project Site <br /> The project site currently contains a 2,000 square foot single family residence, in which <br /> the applicant will live, and two (2) 2,200 existing buildings which will be utilized for the <br /> processing unit and the storage, cooler and freezer unit. <br />
