Hazelton Ave <br /> Stockton,CA 95205 <br /> Dear Mr. Griffin: <br /> The California Department of Transportation appreciates the opportunity to have reviewed the Site <br /> Approval application for a 981,430 square foot warehouse facility located at 20500 South Holly <br /> Drive,Tracy on the northeast comer of West Sugar Road and South Holly Drive. The Department <br /> has the following comments: <br /> 1. A Traffic Impact Study (TIS) is necessary to determine this proposed project's near-term <br /> and long-term impacts to State facilities —both existing and proposed — and to propose <br /> appropriate mitigation measures. The Traffic Impact Study must be submitted to Caltrans <br /> for review. <br /> a. The TIS must include evaluation of the Interstate 205 ramps at North Tracy Blvd. <br /> and North MacArthur Dr. <br /> b. The Department recommends that the study be prepared in accordance with the <br /> Caltrans Guide for the Preparation ofTrafc Impact Studies,dated December 2002 <br /> (Guide). The Guide is available online at the following web address: <br /> http://www.dot.ca. oQ v/hq/ n/offices/ocp/igr cega files/tis ug ide.pdf <br /> c. Submittal of Synchro/Simtraffic version 8.0 Electronic file in a CD and hard copy <br /> of the TIS report as well as Synchro/Simtraffic hard copy output files are needed <br /> for review of this proposed project. <br /> 2. If the applicant wishes to use STAA trucks at the project site, off-tracking analysis and <br /> truck turning templates must be submitted to Caltrans for review before STAA trucks are <br /> permitted to use the site. <br /> a. The off-tracking analysis and truck turning templates should be performed <br /> according to Caltrans HDM Topic 404 page 400-10 (Figure 404.5A and 404.5C). <br /> b. The electronic AutoCAD file of truck turning radius will also have to be submitted <br /> for Caltrans review. <br /> c. The applicant will be responsible for making the needed improvements to the <br /> "Callrmcs improves mobility across California" <br />
