w
e
A S S O C I A T E S I M C
' Soil lithology is depicted on the Geological Cross Section (Figures 5 and 6)
' 3,2 HydrogcolM
' Water level measurements were collected from wells MW1 through MW3 on June 25, 1999
The water levels were measured between 77 29 to 77 72 feet from the top of the well casings A
summary of groundwater monitoring data is presented in Table 3
' Utilizing the June 25, 1999 monitoring well groundwater measurements, the site's underlying
groundwater gradient was determined to be southeast at a magnitude of 0 002 ft/ft or 10 6 ft/mile
A groundwater gradient map for the June 25, 1999 monitoring event is shown on Figure 3
' 4.0 ANALYTICAL RESULTS
441 Soil Analytical Results
' A total of fourteen soil samples collected from borings MW1 through MW3 were submitted to
p g g
the laboratory for chemical analysis The selected samples were collected at various depths
ranging from 25 5 feet to 90 5 feet bgs Of these samples, only two that were collected from
boring MW 1 contained one or more analytes above the laboratory's method detection limits
(MDLs) The sample collected at 30 5 feet bgs (BP-MW1-30 5) contained toluene at 0 008
mg/kg, only marginally above the MDL of 0 005 mg/kg The sample collected at 40 5 feet bgs
contained toluene at 0 010 mg/kg and xylenes at 0 021 mg/kg
Benzene, ethylbenzene, MTBE, and the remaining fuel oxygenates were not detected above their
respective MDLs in any samples
' The lateral extent of petroleum hydrocarbons in soil is depicted on Figure 4 Analytical results
of soil samples are summarized in Table 1
' 4.2 Groundwater Analytical Results
The groundwater sample collected from. well MW contained only TPHg (I 10 ug/l),
ethybenzene (0 7 ug/l) and xylenes (7 8 ug/l) No other target analytes were detected in the water
' sample collected from MW1
The groundwater samples collected from wells MW2 and MW3 did not contain concentrations of
TPHg, BTEX, or fuel oxygenates above laboratory MDLs
The water sample collected from the site's domestic well did not contain VOCs above laboratory
' MDLs
w\I 4885\rePorts\Supp1 invest doc 5
