The test performed in November 1990 was for
total Iead using EPA method 6010. The test for soluble lead is a waste extraction test using
EPA method-7421. If the lead is not soluble then groundwater is not.threatened and site
certification for tank #1625-05 can occur.
As discussed in telephone conversations the soil sample can be collected by drilling or by
excavating ten feet or more below ground surface. Drilling must be completed by a C-57
licensed driller under PHS/EHD permit and inspection. A plan of the work must be
submitted to.PHS/EHD with the request for service form enclosed and the $390 (five hour
minimum) oversight fee.
If you have any questions, contact Margaret L.agorio, Senior RENS; at (209) 468-3449.
Jog Khanna,. 1D., M.P.H.
Health Off-l'
ne A.
