No unique, rare, or endangered animals are known to inhabit the <br /> r <br /> site. A recent survey for kit fox, performed for the MacArthur Drive Annexation and <br /> Rezoning EIR (EIP Associates, preliminary draft 1989) found no kit fox in the area 1/4 to I- <br /> 1/4 miles to the north of this site. <br /> ` Land Designations <br /> The 2010 draft General Plan designates the Rose property as OS/RC, Resource Conservation <br /> ` and General Agriculture. Surrounding lands are designated as follows: <br /> North: General Industrial and General Agriculture <br /> ` South: Resource Conservation <br /> East: General Agriculture <br /> West: Resource Conservation and General Industrial <br /> The current General Plan (1995) designates the Rose mining area as Agricultural, and the <br /> surrounding area is: <br /> North: Agriculture/Industrial <br /> South: Agriculture/Conservation <br /> V East: Agriculture <br /> West: Industrial/Conservation (Quarry Excavation) <br /> Zoning for the Rose property is AG-40, and the surrounding area is: <br /> ` North: M-2 <br /> South: AG-40 <br /> East: AG40 <br /> West: M-2, AG-40 <br /> Geology and Natural Resources <br /> The Rose property is similar geologically to the surrounding areas of the Corral Hollow <br /> alluvial fan currently being mined.
