Analysis <br /> L <br /> Increasing the Hours of Operation <br /> Section 9-1415.3(f) specifies both the normal hours of operation for quarries, which are from 5:00 a.m. to <br /> 9:00 p.m., and the circumstances under which an exception to those hours may be granted by the Review <br /> Authority. The latter states that longer hours of operation may be granted if the finding can be made that <br /> the additional hours will not cause a nuisance. Analysis by staff supports the applicant's contention that <br /> the longer hours of operation will neither result in increased impacts related to the operation of the quarry <br /> and processing facility nor develop into a nuisance to land uses in the vicinity of the project site. <br /> Previously, temporary extensions of operating hours granted by staff under the provisions of Section 9- <br /> 1415.3(f)(4) for the site took place without the filing of nuisance complaints by property owners in the <br /> vicinity of the project. <br /> L San Joaquin County EP-84-10/Teichert <br /> Community Development Page 5 <br />
