k <br /> Project Description <br /> Tracy Material Recovery Facility and Transfer Station Expansion i <br /> 30703 5 MacArthur Drive;:Tracy, California 95377 <br /> Conveyor pits, debris boxes, and bins are swept out <br /> p periodically to prevent debris from <br /> accumulating. <br /> Housekeeping <br /> In addition to the litter cleanup, the facility is inspected on a regular basis by facility <br /> personnel to ensure that supplies, parts, containers, and equipment are properly stored <br /> or contained so that they do not present a hazard or nuisance. <br /> Health and Safety Program <br /> An existing health and safety program at the facility ensures the health and safety of s <br /> employees and the public using the facility. The plan includes the following; <br /> • Employee Safety Training <br /> • Injury Illness Prevention Plan <br /> • Emergency Procedures and Contingency Plan <br /> Hazard Communication Program <br /> • Respiratory Protection Program <br /> Water Supply and Sanitary Facilities <br /> Water is provided from private onsite wells. The project will not result in a significant <br /> impact on utility services. Bottled or tap water located in the administrative <br /> office/maintenance building and MRF/TS building may be supplied to the employees; <br /> coolers or individual bottles of water may be maintained at employee break areas during <br /> operations. <br /> i <br /> Employee restroom facilities are available in the MRF/TS building, gat the <br />` maintenance/office building. The operator will maintain all sanitary and hand-washing <br /> facilities, which may be required by applicable state or local requirements, in a <br /> reasonably clean and adequately supplied condition. <br /> Communications Facilities <br /> Phone and radio communications will be available at all times during operating hours. <br /> Lighting I <br /> Lighting is provided at the Inert Processing Area and C&D Operations Area. Tracy MRF <br /> & TS will utilize temporary or permanent lighting units for processing the materials <br /> before or after daylight hours. Mobile equipment and vehicles using the site are <br /> equipped with lights for safe use at night or during times of limited visibility. <br /> Tracy MRF & TS may install additional 20-to-30-foot-high stadium lighting within the <br /> facility for security purposes that will enable them to process debris before and after <br /> daylight, within the operating hours of 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Onsite processing <br /> buildings will contain interior lighting and may have exterior lighting affixed.
