J
Mr. Skibo
July 9, 2004
Page 5
k1 4.2 On-Site Ground Water
The depth to ground water is reported to be about 180 to 190 feet below the ground surface.
There are two known water wells located on the property. The well locations are indicated
on Plate 1.
No ground water was encountered by the staff of Neil O. Anderson & Associates, Inc. during
drilling to a depth of 25 feet on June 17, 2004.
/-/4.3 Potential Ground Water Contamination Issues
r
Identifying potential ground-water contamination sources was not part of the scope of work
for the soil suitability study. Potential ground-water contamination can occur from a number
of sources which often include leaky underground storage tanks, agricultural activities, dairies,
septic systems, and storm water infiltration. Any agricultural activities, dairies, or use of
septic systems in the area should be considered potential ground-water contamination sources.
The Surface and Subsurface Contamination Report prepared by Walter E. Curtis, Civil
Engineer, did not indicate any significant contamination issues (Curtis, 2004).
4.4 Water Sample Location
Ground-water sampling was performed as part of the Surface and Subsurface Contamination
Report prepared by Walter E. Curtis, Civil Engineer. Please refer to his report for further
details (Curtis, 2004).
/ 4.5 Sample Collection, Handling, and Transportation
Ground-water sampling was performed as part of the Surface and Subsurface Contamination
Report prepared by Walter E. Curtis, Civil Engineer. Please refer to his report for further
details (Curtis, 2004).
4.6 Water Sample Analytical Results
Curtis (2004) in his report indicated the ground water samples were tested for
Dibromochloropropane (DBCP) and Nitrates (NO) for both wells. The results were found
to be within the State's standards for safe public drinking water.
