[4] Cont.
Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board (RWQCB) with
regard to the current status of the subject property and future
confined animal waste management. A proposal to the RWQCB
outlining remediation and protection measures of the subject
property soil and groundwater can be found in the Appendix. A
Letter of Approval from Mr. Louis Pratt, Land and Water Use Analyst
from the RWQCB, follows the proposal in the Appendix.
The predominate soil types encountered during percolation test
drilling was silty clays, silty sands and inorganic clays of medium
to high plasticity. However, a sand-silt strata was infiltrated
at approximately eight feet on parcels #2 and #3 . A sand-silt
strata was also encountered at approximately 11 feet on parcel #4 .
It appears that this sand strata is sloping downward in a southerly
direction.
The percolation tests conducted by Quality Control Inspection, Inc.
were performed in accordance to San Joaquin Environmental Health
Department regulations. A copy of the percolation test results can
be found in the Appendix.
The percolation tests conducted on April 10, and April 21, 1992 for
the four parcels are discussed below:
Parcel #1 which contains the SFR, had percolation rates for both
the shallow (4211) and deep test borings (6 ' 1011) of 5 min/in and
10 min/in, respectively. It is anticipated that the SFR and
existing septic system will remain as is.
The shallow and deep test borings drilled for parcel #2 were
subsequently destroyed by cows that were grazing on this parcel .
Consequently, a new 42" test boring was drilled and the percolation
testing conducted on April 21, 1992 . The results indicate that
this 42" test boring had a percolation rate of 13 min/in.
3
Q-
C-ntrol Inspection
