The following items are <br /> required to be inspected at least daily: <br /> 1, overfill/spill control equipment; <br /> 2. aboveground portions of the tank system to detect corrosion or releases of water; <br /> 3. data gathered from monitoring and leak-detection equipment; <br /> 4. outside areas of the tank system including secondary containment to detect erosion or signs of releases of <br /> hazardous waste; <br /> 5. for uncovered tanks, the level of waste in the tank. <br /> Immediately begin required inspections of the hazardous waste tank system, and document the items inspected. <br /> Submit a copy of the inspection log for the next 30 days to the EHD. <br /> This is a repeat violation, Class II. <br /> 601 CCR 66262.34(a) Stored hazardous waste on site longer than 90 days without a permit or authorization. <br /> Facilities who generate more than 1000 kg of hazardous waste per month may store waste on site up to 90 days. The <br /> following containers were found missing a hazardous waste label or any information: <br /> -Two black, steel, 55 gallon drums of waste oil were observed without a label or other information <br /> -One blue, steel, 55 gallon drum of waste oil was observed without a label or other information <br /> Since it cannot be determined how long the hazardous waste has been on site, immediately contact a licensed <br /> hazardous waste hauler to dispose of this waste under manifest. Submit a copy of the manifest to the EHD within 30 <br /> days. <br /> This is a repeat violation, Class ll. <br /> 605 CCR 66262.34(f) Failed to completely label containers or portable tanks of hazardous waste. <br /> The following containers were missing hazardous waste labels <br /> -One black, steel, 55 gallon drum of waste oil were observed without a readable generator address. <br /> All hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the following information: <br /> -the words "Hazardous Waste" <br /> -name and address of generator <br /> - hazardous properties <br /> -physical state <br /> -composition (contents) <br /> -accumulation start date <br /> Immediately label these containers and ensure that all containers are marked with all the required information. <br /> This is a repeat violation, Class II. <br /> Page 9 of 10 <br />
