L
` November 15,2004
NOA Project Number: E04123A
In the 1940 photo,a stream passes through the property. Portions of the property appear to be orchard,
while other portions appear to be agricultural field. Two structures are located south of the intersection
of parcels 4 and 6 of the property. Walker Street and Main Street are apparent, though Horner Street
is not. Surrounding properties are agricultural with scattered rural residences.
In the 1952 photo,a new structure is apparent in the southwest comer of parcel 4. The stream passing
through the property appears to have dried up, though the trees which once lined it remain. Most of
1. the orchard on the subject property has been removed. The city of Stockton has expanded to the north
of the subject property, though agricultural land remains on the east, west, and south of the property.
LIn the 1963 photo,a second structure is apparent adjacent to the one at the southwest corner of parcel
4. The majority of the property appears to have been replanted with orchard. The surrounding
properties do not appear significantly changed from the 1952 photo. Homer Street now defines the
northern boundary of the subject property. Main Street is labeled"Copperopolis Road."
The scale of the 1975 photo is such that it is not possible to make statements about the arrangement
L of the structures on the property. The property and surrounding properties remain relatively unchanged
from the 1963 photo.
LIn the 1983 photo, the majority of the property once again appears to be covered with mature orchard.
A long, narrow structure is apparent to the northwest of the existing structures. A baseball field is
apparent to the northwest of the property. The property and surrounding properties otherwise remain
L relatively unchanged from the 1975 photo.
In the 1993 photo, the new structure appears twice as long as in the 1983 photo. The orchard has been
L removed from the property except for one patch. The trees lining the former stream have been
removed as well. The property and surrounding properties otherwise remain relatively unchanged from
the 1983 photo.
L
In the 2002 photo, the long, narrow structure has been removed from the subject property. The
Lproperty and surrounding properties otherwise remain relatively unchanged from the 1993 photo.
These photos are included in Appendix C of this report.
L 2.3 USGS Topographic Maps
L The topographic quadrangle depicting the subject property is the U.S.Geological Survey,Stockton East,
California,quadrangle map. One maps,a 15-minute map dated 1968 photorevised 1987,was available
at NOA.
LIn the 1987 map,two structures are depicted in the southwest comer of parcel 4 of the subject property.
The majority of the property is depicted as agricultural land. Surrounding land to the north is depicted
as urban, to the west as vacant or crop land, and to the south and east as a mixture of vacant and
L.
3
i
L .*44
L
