ENGEO <br /> INCORPORATED <br /> L. 5.0 SITE RECONNAISSANCE <br /> 5.1 Methodologv <br /> ENGEO staff member, Bryan C. Yates, conducted a reconnaissance of the Property on <br /> July 21, 2004. The Property was viewed for hazardous materials storage, surficial staining or <br /> discoloration, debris, stressed vegetation, or other conditions that may be indicative of potential <br /> sources of soil or groundwater contamination. The Property was also inspected for fill/ventilation <br /> pipes, ground subsidence, or other evidence of existing or preexisting underground storage tanks. <br /> Photographs taken during the reconnaissance are presented in Appendix B of this report. <br /> 5.2 General Site Settine <br /> The Property currently contains one house, one bam, one shop, one well house, one boat house, one <br /> horse coral, one horse arena, one two mobile home structures, one storage building (former small <br /> airplane storage hanger), and three small out buildings. These buildings are located within an <br /> approximately 10-acre portion of the Property. Approximately 70 acres of the Property are <br /> currently under alfalfa production. The remaining 20 acres of the Property are being used as pasture <br /> land Two septic systems are located within the Property(Figure 2). <br /> 5.3 Exterior Observations <br /> Hazardous Substances and Petroleum Products in Connection with Identified Uses. Within the <br /> former airplane storage hanger within the southwest area of the Property, we observed amongst <br /> household storage, several 5-gallon and 1-gallon paint cans.
