ENGEO
INCORPORATED
Storage Tanks. Two approximately 5-gallon above-ground fuel storage tanks were observed
immediately west of the former airplane storage hanger located within the southwestern area of
the Property (Figure 2). No odors or surface soil staining was observed under or adjacent to
these tanks. Tapping on the sides of the tanks found that they were likely empty.
Odors. No odors were observed within the Property at the time of the reconnaissance.
_
Pools of Potentially Hazardous Liquid. No pools of potentially hazardous liquid were evident at
the Property at the time of the reconnaissance.
Drums. No drums were observed within the Property at the time of the reconnaissance.
Hazardous Substance and Petroleum Product Containers. The hazardous substance and
_
petroleum product containers observed within the Property are discussed in the previous
sections.
_
_ Polychlorinated Biphenyls (PCBs). We observed pole mounted power lines running north to
south through the western area of the Property. These lines appear to supply the Property with
_ electrical power. We observed five pole mounted transformers along these lines within the
Property. These transformers appeared to be free of staining or apparent leaks. No stressed
_
vegetation of stained soil was observed on the ground surface under these transformers.
Pits, Ponds and Lagoons. One reported recreational use pond is located within the southwest
area of the Property (Figure 2). We observed no sheening on the surface of the water at the time
of our visit.
Stained Soil/Pavement. A small area of stained soil within the storage shed was observed. The
area of stained soil measured approximately four feet by two feet
5943.5.001.02
July 28,2004 18
r
