ENGEO
INCORPORATED
materials are encountered, we recommend that ENGEO be contacted so that additional
assessment can be conducted.
The assessment revealed the following RECs within the Property:
Cucumber, sugar beets, and alfalfa have been grown on the Property since before 1960.
Mr. Ted Viss, Inspector from the San Joaquin County Agricultural Commissioner's Office
(SJCACO), stated that Direx 4L, Poast, Velpar L, and Furadan 4f were the most likely pesticides
to have been used. We found no evidence that agrichemicals were stored or inappropriately
applied on the Property. However, if future development of the Property includes sensitive land
use such as a school, a Preliminary Endangerment Assessment under oversight of the State of
` California DTSC may be required.
Two 500-gallon above-ground fuel storage tanks are located on the Property. We did not
observe stained soil or distressed vegetation under these tanks. However; once these tanks are no
longer in use, we recommend that they be collected for appropriate disposal. We also
recommend that a visual review for stained soil be conducted after the above ground tanks are
.. removed. If there is any evidence that indicates a potential for diesel or gasoline to have leaked
onto the ground surface, we recommend that samples be collected for laboratory analysis to
evaluate the potential soil impacts.
6.
` 5943.5.001.02
July 28, 2004 24
r..
