The remaining borehole was pre-soaked and appeared dry and intact on
March 31, 2009. l
Percolation Test Methods
Percolation tests where conducted on March 24 and 31, 2009 on three borehole locations.
Percolation tests where conducted in accordance with EHD Policy 02-02 µ-Policy for Percolation
Test. Procedure #2 was followed and a four hour percolation test was used for the two boreholes
located on the proposed parcel 2. The remaining borehole followed Procedure #3 and a one hour
test was conducted. The last portion of each of the tests where observed by a San Joaquin
County Environmental Health representative.
G
An electric well sounder with depth accuracy of 11100th foot was used to measure the
depth to water to a fixed reference point at the top of the pvc pipe. All depth values on the field
data sheet (appendix) are in decimal feet. After water drop was observed, the holes were
checked for refill. The refill level was approximately 0.5 ft (6 inches) of water above the bottom
level of the percolation test hole. The readings were taken every 30 minutes for a period of four
hours. For the one hour test, readings were taken every 10 minutes for a period of one hour
Percolation Test Form
Percolation test forms are located in the appendix.
Discussion of the Peculation Test Results
The soils in the areas tested indicated a slow percolation rate with the exception of Test
Hole 1.
Parcel l —Test Hole 1 — 3.2 minutes per inch—Acceptable ✓
JR SQUARED CONSULTING,INC.
