• `/ `/ KLEINFELDER
r... disposal will be tied into the existing septic/leach field system that services the existing barn.
A map showing the approximate location of the proposed office is presented on Plate 2.
2. PRESENT AND PAST USE
`, The on-site residence was constructed in 1956. The pasture area, located south of the
residence, is used to keep animals. The portion of the site west of the bam is used as vehicle
parking for a landscape business. No known farming has occurred on the parcel since the
6. construction of the home. Prior to 1956, the site was likely farmed. No other past uses are
known to us at this time.
L 3. SEPTIC PERMITS AND PERFORMANCE
LSJCEHD files were searched to identify septic permits at parcels in the project vicinity. There
was one SJCEHD septic permit on file for the subject parcel. This was for the new installation
of a septic system servicing the barn. No permit was on file for the septic s stem connected t
the residence. There were only two permits on tile for nearby properties. These permits were
for a new installation of a septic system as well as a repair/addition to an existing septic system.
The permitted sewage disposal systems consisted of conventional septic/leach field systems
6, with 80-foot long leach lines. We understand that the on-site sewage disposal systems are
working without problems. A summary of the permit information is presented below, and
copies of the permits are attached.
Permit number SR0034813 for the subject property was dated August 5, 2003. This permit is
for the new installation of a 1,200-gallon septic tank and three 80-foot-long leach lines. This
6. system was connected to the barn and the proposed offices will tie in to this system.
Permit number 74-714 for the property located at 15791 Manthey Road was dated August 19,
L 1974. This permit is for the repair/addition of a single 80-foot-long leach line.
Permit number SR0033599 for the property located at 172871 Manthey Road was dated April
25, 2003. This permit is for a 1,200-gallon septic tank with two 80-foot-long leach lines.
4. GROUNDWATER
Groundwater was encountered in our soil profile boring at a depth of about 7 feet below the
existing ground surface. Lines of Equal Depth to Groundwater contour maps published in
groundwater reports by the San Joaquin County Flood Control and Water Conservation District
do not extend west of I-5 in this area. Based on Lines of Equal Elevation of Groundwater
6., contour maps for portions of Lathrop located east of I-5, the groundwater gradient in the
general project area is generally from southwest to northeast. Local gradient variations may
occur due to flood irrigation and well usage.
V
L52251.G01/ST05R192 February 17,2005
©2005 Kleinfelder,Inc. Page 2 of 8
L
