6 . For each proposed new building , provide the following information on the plans : <br /> A . Description of proposed use <br /> Be Existing and proposed occupancy Groups <br /> C . Type of construction <br /> D . Sprinklers ( Yes or No ) <br /> E . Number of stories <br /> F . Building height <br /> G . Allowable floor area <br /> H . Proposed floor area <br /> I . Occupant load based on the CBC <br /> J . Occupant load based on the CPC <br /> 7 . The use of existing buildings that will have a different use ( occupancy classification ) from when <br /> originally constructed / permitted , will constitute a change of occupancy . A change of occupancy <br /> will require a code analysis report and necessary plans prepared by an architect or engineer in <br /> accordance with the current adopted ( 2022 ) T-24 Parts 1 - 12 ( California Building Codes and <br /> Existing Building Codes ) . The report and plans shall identify existing conditions , propose <br /> alterations necessary to bring the building in compliance with the current code and include the <br /> following : <br /> A . Description of proposed use <br /> Be Existing and proposed occupancy Groups <br /> C . Type of construction <br /> D . Sprinklers ( Yes or No ) <br /> E . Number of stories <br /> F . Building height <br /> G . Allowable floor area <br /> H . Proposed floor area <br /> I . Occupant load based on the CBC <br /> J . Occupant load based on the CPC <br /> Modifications to existing buildings are required to include upgrades related to disability <br /> access pursuant to the current adopted California Building Code and Existing Building Code . <br /> Plans showing these upgrades must be prepared by a registered engineer or licensed <br /> architect and shall be submitted for review and approval prior to issuance of a building permit . <br /> 8 . If high - piled combustible storage is to be used in a building , an automatic fire sprinkler system <br /> will be required . <br /> 9 . Accessible routes shall be provided per Chapter 11 B of the currently adopted California <br /> Building Code . At least one ( 1 ) accessible route shall be provided within the site from <br /> accessible parking spaces and accessible passenger loading zones ; public streets and <br /> sidewalks ; and public transportation stops to the accessible building or facility entrance they <br /> serve . Where more than one ( 1 ) route is provided , all routes must be accessible . <br /> 10 . Parking spaces will be required to accommodate persons with disabilities in compliance with <br /> Chapter 11 B of the California Building Code . Note that accessible parking spaces are required <br /> for each phase of the project .
