lk ..1
18 May 2007
AGE-NC-07-1528
The final 30-minute interval was observed by Ms. Lisa Medina of the SJCEHD. After completion
of the test Ms. Medina reviewed the field data and signed the required SJCEHD Percolation Test
Rate form. Based on the field measurements collected, the percolation rate for the parcel was
calculated and summarized in Table 2 below; field measurements recorded during the test are
included on the Percolation Test Rate Field Sheet provided in Appendix B. The SJCEHD Onsite
Wastewater Treatment System Permit for the percolation test for test hole TH-1 is included as
Appendix B.
Table 2
TEST HOLE PERCOLATION RATES
Test No. Diameter of Hole Depth of Hole Percolation Rate
(inches) (inches) (min/in)
TH-1 4 42 16.67
7.0. CONCLUSION
Based on the data collected from the site, AGE concludes:
• The procedures used to the conduct percolation test for test hole TH-1 conformed to
SJCEHD Policy 02-02.
• The soil sample collected from TH-1 consisted of soils classified as clays with sand.
• The data collected from the percolation test indicates a suitable percolation rate of 16.67
minutes per inch (min/in). Based on the data there are areas within the parcel (e.g., in the
vicinity of the percolation test)that should be suitable for onsite sewage disposal systems.
Based on the approximated depth to ground water in the area, and the size of the parcel, it is our
opinion that a properly installed and maintained septic system should not adversely affect the quality
of the ground water in the area.
8.0. LMTATIONS
Our professional services were performed using that degree of care and skill ordinarily exercised by
environmental consultants practicing in this or similar localities. The findings were based on field
testing results. Evaluations of the hydrogeologic conditions at the site for the purpose of this
Advanced GeoEnviroamental,Inc.
