... ..I
L GROUNDWATER INFORMATION
The depth to static water is approximately 120'as indicated on the map Lines of Equal depth to
7 Groundwater, Spring 1999. N 3 r^P
The FarWest Lab tested the well water on 5-14-03. The well location is shown on the,0
Tentative Parcel Map. The test results were 6.2'ing/l for Nitrates and N/D for DBCP.No third
L party was involved in the sampling and testing. A log by FarWest Labs is included. The 95'
contour runs thin the parcel. Surface drainage is to the west.
SOIL PROFILE INFORMATION
A site map prepared by the surveyor is included. The soil profile is obtained by observing the soil
being removed by the drilling process. No pit excavation was made. The soil profile observed was
as follows:
0-10' Silty Clay h" '
10'-16' Silty Sand
16'-25' Gravel w/SiSdCI (Probable old stream bed)
PERCOLATION TEST INFORMATION
L y
G At this location a satisfactory strata for percolation testing was located between 10'and 16'. The
on site septic system will require pits to reach the strata. On 9/26/05 one shallow(42")hole and
one deep (25')hole were augured with a truck mounted drill. Based on the soil profile a third hole
was augured to a depth of 10.6' into the sand layer.
On 9/29/05 the holes were sleeved(PVC); 2" of gravel was placed on the bottom of the 42" and
L 10.6' holes; 12" of water was placed in the shallow hole and 6" of water in the deep hole to begin
the 24 hour soak period. All deep holes were 4" in diameter and the shallow hole was 6" in
diameter.
On 9/30/05 after the 24 hour soak the 4 hour testing began at 0900. Both the shallow and deep
hole were empty. Both holes received 6" of water to start the testing. The shallow hole failed. The
10.6'hole had a satisfactory percolation rate.
The test conformed to SJC Policy EHD 02-02. The reading's ere recorded on the test form. The 6
rate was calculated and recorded on the test form. 4 6,000 SF leach field is required. The
inspector from the Environmental Health Deparhnei3t(Mike Escotto) was present for the required
readings.
Based on the testing and observations in the field, an on site septic system installed in
conformance with the Environmental Health Department regulations, and properly maintained by
the users, should support a SFR in a satisfactory manner, without creating any health hazard.
2.
