.,. ..W
3.3 Description of all current on-site potential and/or known above and below ground sources of
contamination identified at the project site: Presently, there are no underground storage tanks on the
property and visual inspection did not produce any evidence of buried containers, as well as no odors
that would be associated with buried chemical tanks. There are no above ground storage tanks as well.
The site does contain a domestic well and septic system near the home.
3.4 Description of all past off-site potential and/or known above and below ground sources of
contamination identified in the area of the project site: Past off-site potential for contamination is the
proximity to the surrounding orchards and the chemicals used in their farming operation. There is no
knowledge of below ground sources of contamination in the area of the project site that has or may
impact the project site.
3.5 Description of all present off-site potential and/or known above and below ground sources of
contamination identified in the area of the project site: Present off-site potential for contamination is
the proximity to the surrounding orchards and the chemicals used in their farming operation. There is no
knowledge of below ground sources of contamination in the area of the project site that has or may
impact the project site.
4.0 EVALUATION OF PAST AND CURRENT SOURCES OF
CONTAMINATION IDENTIFIED AT OR NEAR THE SITE AND
RECOMMENDATIONS FOR FURTHER ACTION:
4.1 Evaluation of each potential and/or known source of contamination identified for any real
and/or potential threat to human health and the environment: The depth to ground water in this
area is approximately 150 feet. Due to this depth and no history of heavy pesticides or fertilizers used
on the property in the past or present, the risk for contamination is minimal. The use of approved best
management practices for the containment of soil or any contaminates by straw waddles around the
construction site and other practices7oreTce the mtrof any dirt or contamma esTm o the storm
f noff system will be required at the time of any future construction per County Building Department.
5.0 CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS SECTION:
5.1 Discussion of the above evaluation: The past and present uses of this property create minimal
potential for contamination. The close proximity to the surrounding orchards could be a concern.
However with proper and safe farming practices, these potentials are also minimal.
5.2 The Report is inclusive: All information in this report does not reference any other documents that
are not contained in this report.
5.3 Report was signed dated and stamped: See below.
5.4 The report was prepared within six months of the date of the submittal: This report was
generated in September, 2007 and submitted to the Environmental Health Department in September, 2007.
2
cA03118\Contamination Report 090707
