SECTION III : DESCRIPTION OF PROPOSED RECLAMATION
A. Subsequent Uses :
The proposed subsequent use is crop farming in the setback
areas and fish farming in the lake, in addition to any land
uses permitted by the lead agency for the site .
The owner (s) of the possessory interests have signed the
Quarry Excavation application with San Joaquin County.
B . Reclamation Schedule:
Reclamation will be concurrent . Areas not in the process of
excavation will continue to be farmed concurrently with the
mining operations . Each year as more material is excavated,
less area will be farmed. The lake will grow larger and the
farmland will decrease . Eventually only the setback areas,
as shown on the Reclamation Site Plan, will remain
available for crop farming, and will continue as farmland.
Setback areas with stockpiles that have not been sold will
be maintained for weed control by spraying, discing and/or
farming. Because reclamation is concurrent, the quarry will
operate as a single phase . Annual inspections by the lead
agency determine the disturbed and reclaimed areas, along
with what is proposed to be disturbed and reclaimed in the
coming year. Then the financial guarantee is adjusted
accordingly. The timing of the excavation and reclamation
will be determined by market conditions.
C. Post-mining Topography:
The Reclamation Site Plan and cross-section shows the final
size of the lake and setback areas and post-mining
topography.
slopes:
Slopes above the water table (the area out of the water) to
the bottom of the excavation (the area under water) will
not exceed 2 feet horizontal to 1 foot vertical. This
complies with San Joaquin County requirements . 10 No slopes
to San Joaquin County Community Development Department,
Development Title 9-1415. 3 (k)
