RECREATION. <br /> a) Would the project increase the use ■ i — <br /> of existing neighborhood and ❑ El F1 <br /> regional parks or other recreational <br /> facilities such that substantial <br /> physical deterioration of the facility <br /> would occur or be accelerated? <br /> b) Does the project include recreational ■ ❑ LlLl F1 .,_I <br /> facilities or require the construction <br /> or expansion of recreational — <br /> facilities which might have an <br /> adverse physical effect on the <br /> environment? <br /> SETTING <br /> The Mountain House Community Services District(MHCSD)is responsible for securing <br /> funding, developing, and operating regional, community,and neighborhood parks in the <br /> Mountain House Community in compliance with the MHMP (San Joaquin County, 1994). <br /> At present,MHCSD operates one 5.0-acre park located at the comer of Wicklund Crossing <br /> and Historic Street in Neighborhood F. A second 5.0-acre park in Neighborhood E will be <br /> completed within the next two years(Karam, 2006). <br /> The closest regional recreational facility to the project area is the Bethany Reservoir Park in <br /> Alameda County west of the Mountain House Community. The closest regional park in San <br /> Joaquin County is the Durham Ferry State Recreation Area along the San Joaquin River east — <br /> of Tracy. Larch Clover County Park is located in Tracy(EDAW, 2005b). <br /> SIGNIFICANT IMPACTS IDENTIFIED IN 2005 SPIIIEIR <br /> One potential impact regarding additional demand for public parkland was identified in the <br /> 2005 SPIIIEIR. This impact was found to be less than significant. <br /> MITIGATION MEASURES IDENTIFIED IN 2005 SPIIIEIR <br /> Since the potential impact was found to be less than significant, there are no related <br /> mitigation measures identified in the 2005 SPIIIEIR. <br /> 4-72 <br />
