d/ y <br /> acceptable. <br /> h) Strengthened and stiffened shallow foundation systems shall be used to <br /> improve the ability of the foundations and floor slabs to resist the adverse <br /> effects of both seismically-induced ground deformation and potentially <br /> expansive soils. <br /> i) A detailed grading and drainage plan shall be prepared for all areas subiect <br /> to development and be submitted to the County for review and approval prior <br /> to the issuance of grading permits. <br /> j) A qualified construction inspector shall be present at the site to observe and <br /> advise during site preparation, earthwork, grading, and construction of <br /> foundations and earth-retaining structures. <br /> k) If more than two years lapse between the date of the Geotechnical <br /> Engineering Reports and the commencement of project construction, the <br /> Geotechnical Engineering Reports shall be updated. <br /> Timing: Inclusion of a note on Improvement Plans approved by CDD and <br /> MHCSD prior to approval of Fianal Maps, and the incorporation of all <br /> recommendations of the geotechnical engineering studies into site preparation <br /> and construction of each dwelling prior to approval of building permits.
