Jack Tone Rd. , Lodi, CA (Property No. 04-026) <br /> r <br /> Dear Mr. Knoll, <br /> On September 30, 1991, approximately 100 cubic yards of soil containing a slight <br /> hydrocarbon odor were generated during a site cleanup at the above-mentioned <br /> •. property. All soil was stockpiled on plastic sheeting on a slightly elevated <br /> portion of the property and covered with additional sheeting to prevent runoff. <br /> r At your direction, two samples were collected from the stockpile and analyzed for <br /> total petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH) as gasoline by Modified EPA Method 8015/Purge- <br /> and-Trap and benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylenes (BTEX) by EPA Method <br /> 8020/Purge-and-Trap. Analysis of the samples indicated the presence of 0.77 ppm <br /> and 33 ppm TPH as well as trace concentrations of BTEX. <br /> Based on analytical results of the stockpile samples, the soil has bean accepted <br /> for disposal at Forward Landfill in Manteca, California. All information <br /> pertaining to the characterization of the soil has been included as Attachment <br /> 1 and a copy of the acceptance letter from Forward has been included as <br /> + <br /> Attachment 2. <br /> On April 2, 1992, the soil was transported by Manley and Sons Trucking, Inc. to <br /> Forward for final disposal. As verification, Attachment 3 includes landfill <br /> + receipts and copies of Forward Inc. Is "Non-Hazardous Waste Driver Identification <br /> Form" which accompanied each load of soil to the landfill. <br /> It is my understanding that no additional cleanup efforts will be required at <br /> this site. If this information satisfies your concerns regarding the subject <br /> property, please indicate your concurrence with our findings in your written <br /> reply.
