Item No. 3
PC: &20-92
SA-9234
Page 4
Dust:
The San Joaquin Valley Unified Air Pollution Control District has dust control practices that are
recommended to mitigate dust impacts during construction. Any dust resulting from this
agricultural operation shall be within their standards.
Traffic:
There will be no retail sale of the chickens on the property. The only traffic associated with the
project is one trip per day. Thus, no significant increase in the level of traffic is anticipated.
Traffic Hazard:
The concern of the chickens getting loose and creating a traffic hazard on Jack Tone Road is
addressed by Development Services' recommended condition that the fence which encloses the
chickens be kept in good repair. The fenced area where the chickens will be kept is
approximately 1,100 feet from Jack Torte Road.
Noise:
Because of the location of the project area, which is 150 feet from the northerly property line, 340
feet from the southerly property line, 630 feet from the westerly property line, and 1100 feet from
the easterly property line, the noise will not have a significant, adverse impact.
Absentee Landlord:
The applicant lives in San Jose, and he visits the site on weekends. He plans to have a friend
or relative live on the site in the existing mobile home or existing residence and care for the
chickens.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONSIDERATIONS:
The Initial Study prepared for this project did not identify any significant impacts that the proposed project
may have upon the environment. Based on the Initial Study, a Negative Declaration has been prepared.
In addition, a Certificate of Fee Exemption with a 'DeMinimis Impact Finding' has been propared which
states that the project will not have an adverse effect on wildlife resources.
