2.2 Proposed Development
A minor subdivision is proposed to divide a 1.99-acre Parcel 1 contain a sales
office and associated structures from the Designated Remainder (Plate 3). No anges
in use of the Site are proposed.
2.3 Topography
A recent U.S. Geological Survey 7.5-minute topographic map was obtained from the
San Joaquin County District Viewer. In the map, the Site is depicted as open
agricultural land with two structures at its northern end. The property is approximately
50 to 55 feet above mean sea level and is relatively flat. Surrounding properties are
shown to be open agricultural land with scattered structures. This map is included as
Plate 4 in Appendix 1.
3.0 HISTORICAL RESEARCH
3.1 Aerial Photographs
Live Oak reviewed aerial photographs of the Site provided by the San Joaquin County
Surveyor's Office in Stockton, California. The available photographs were dated 1937,
1952, 1963, and 1975. Two additional photographs, dated October 1998, and March
2005, were obtained from the San Joaquin County District Viewer.
In the 1937 photo, the Site appears to be open, grazing land with natural topography.
The surrounding properties appear to be used for grazing land or fodder crops.
Scattered building clusters can be seen on the nearby streets.
In the 1952 photo, the southern half of the Site and many of the surrounding properties
appear to have been leveled and planted with fodder or row crops.
In the 1963 photo, the northern half of the Site has also been leveled and planted with
fodder or row crops. One structure can be seen at the northwest corner of the Site.
In the 1975 photo, two additional structures can be seen at the northwest corner of the
Site. The northern half of the Site appears to be an orchard. A residence is apparent
on the parcel carved from the southeast corner of the Site (13851 East Louise Avenue).
In the 1998 photo, the three structures have been removed, and four new structures
stand in the northwest corner of the Site. A residence can now be seen in the parcel
carved from the northwest corner of the Site (15176 South Jack Tone Road). The entire
Site appears to be an orchard. Cattle facilities can be seen to the east and west of the
Site, an orchard can be seen to the north, and a vineyard can be seen to the south.
LOGE 1225 Page 2
