In the 2005 photo, no significant changes are apparent. <br /> These photos are included in Appendix 3 of this report. <br /> 4.0 SITE INSPECTION <br /> Live Oak inspected the site on November 27, 2012. Photographs of the Site are <br /> attached to this report as Appendix 2. The boundaries and major features of the Site <br /> were observed. French Camp Road and railroad tracks define the northern property <br /> line, Jack Tone Road defines the western property line, and Louise Avenue defines the <br /> southern property line. <br /> The Site is an almond orchard with a produce sales office and shipping point near its <br /> northwest corner. Four structures are located in this area: the sales office, an ag <br /> storage/carport building, an ag storage building with a loading dock, and a refrigerated <br /> "cooler" building. Storage sheds are located to the north of the ag storage/carport <br /> building. Irrigation piping and supplies were stored along the northern fence line, and <br /> several vehicles were parked in the area. A five-gallon bucket which appeared to <br /> contain waste oil was observed near the northwest corner of the fenced facility. <br /> Three wells are located on the Site; twoPn <br /> hese are irrigation wells, and the third <br /> supplies water to the office and for irriga ' Some minor oil staining was observed - <br /> '" around the northernmost well, and small plastic containers (presumably of oil) were <br /> observed at two of the wells. <br /> Six pole-mounted transformers were observed near the sales office and ag storage <br /> buildings, and two more were observed near the central well. High voltage power lines <br /> were observed to cross a portion of the Site. <br /> The surrounding properties are almond orchards, pasture land, and cattle facilities. <br /> 5.0 INTERVIEWS <br /> 5.1 Interview with Property Owners <br /> Dan Van Groningen was interviewed by telephone on December 4, 2012. He indicated <br /> that he and six others have owned the Site since 1965. The Site is currently used as a <br /> sales office and shipping point; the remainder of the Site is an almond orchard. Before <br /> the orchard was planted about 35 years ago, Mr. Van Groningen stated that the land <br /> was used for growing row crops. Mr. Van Groningen indicated that one ag storage <br /> building was constructed in 1972, and the other structures were built around 1976. <br /> LOGE 1225 Page 3 <br />
