'..W in KLEINFELDER
of the intersection of Jack Tone Road and Graves Road in Ripon, California. Any exceptions to,
` or deletions from this practice, are described in Chapter 83 of this report.
In summary, this assessment has revealed evidence of possible environmental conditions in
L connection with the property:
L • Due to the historical agricultural use of the site and its proposed use, shallow soil sampling
can be conducted for environmentally persistent pesticides if desired by the client.
• On properties with a history of agricultural use, many underground pipelines may exist. It
was common for said pipelines to contain asbestos (e.g. "Transite" pipe). Subsurface
exploration is not a part of a typical Phase I Environmental Site Assessment scope of work.
In the event that any subsurface structures are encountered during site development or
excavation on site, care should be exercised in determining whether or not the subsurface
structures contain asbestos. If they contain asbestos, they should be removed, handled,
L transported, and disposed of in accordance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
Additionally, if suspect materials are encountered, the signatories of this report should be
notified.
L
• One irrigation well is reported to be associated with the site. If the well is not going to be
used, Kleinfelder recommends that it be closed in accordance with local, state, and federal
.. regulations.
• The effects of potential septic tanks from adjacent rural residences (nitrates and coliform),
L should be considered if using domestic water supplies (groundwater) at the site.
L 8.3 DEVIATIONS
LNo significant deviations were made from the ASTM E 1527-00 practice. No other "non-scope"
considerations, such as asbestos-containing materials, radon, lead-based paint, lead in drinking
L water, wetlands, regulatory compliance, cultural and historic resources, industrial hygiene, health
and safety, ecological resources, endangered species, indoor air quality and high voltage
powerlines were considered for this report.
i
L
L
I
6.
43498.P01 /ST04R915 Page 19 of 20
Copyright 2004,Kleinfelder,Inc.
