SOIL SUITABILITY STUDY <br /> PROJECT: 10750 E. Jahant Rd., Acampo, Ca. <br /> APN: 007-060-47 <br /> MS-95-9 <br /> OWNER: Alan and Lenore Stephens <br /> Deed Description: The East 20 acres of the West 60 acres of the North 120 acres of the <br /> Northwest Quarter of Section 124, T4N, R7E, MDB & M. <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The residential site consists of 5 acres cut out of a 20 acre parcel. The remainder is not <br /> part of this study. This study is required by the conditions of approval dated May 23, 1995. <br /> A single family residence is planned for the new parcel. An existing residence is located on the <br /> remainder. The occupant (Stephens) stated no problem has occured with the existing septic <br /> system which is about 12 years old. A layer of sand exists at an approximate depth of 7 feet. Pits <br /> are required. <br /> SITE BACKGROUND INFORMATION <br /> The created 5 acre parcel fronts on E. Jahant Road. The remainder is served by an existing <br /> gravel driveway. The conditions of approval and letter of May 7, 1996 from Mr. Tom Gau <br /> requires a 60' strip along the easterly property line from Jahant Road to the remainder parcel. <br /> The owner has specified a 70' strip, hence the Parcel Map will so indicate.A copy of the approved <br /> Tentative Parcel Map is enclosed as Appendix A. <br /> The present agricultural use is a walnut orchard. Many 5 acre parcels exist in the proximity <br /> of the site. See copy of Assessor's Map included in this report. <br /> GROUNDWATER INFORMATION <br /> Groundwater elevation as determined by the San Joaquin County Flood Control and Water <br /> Conservation District Maps (1992) show an elevation of approximately -30 feet on Lines of Equal <br /> Elevation of Water in Wells. <br /> The property has been irrigated by a sprinkler system from the existing irrigation well located <br /> in the proposed 70' wide access strip. A domestic well exists on the remainder. The owner <br /> obtained test containers from FGL laboratory and sampled the water for testing by FGL. <br /> L. <br />
