An Environmental Questionnaire and
Disclosure Statement was completed by Jeff Perlegos, owner of the subject property,on September 4,
/2005. A copy of his responses has been included in this report as Appendix E.
L ✓ In his responses to the questionnaire, Mr. Perlegos indicated that he,John, and Georgia Perlegos
purchased the property in 2002. The previous owners were Helmut Ehling (deceased),Peter Ehling,
and Kristina Ehling Ramsey. To the best of his knowledge, the property has always been used as a
vineyard with a farmhouse and shop building. Mr. Perlegos indicated that he does not know the date
of construction of the farmhouse. The property utilizes an on-site well and septic system, he stated.
L Mr. Perlegos was not aware of any tanks, chemical storage, or chemical spills on the property, but he
indicated that sulfur is applied to the vineyard every spring.
L /Mr. Gassner of More-Gas Investments, the prospective purchaser, was interviewed regarding the
historical uses of the subject property. According to Mr. Gassner,Helmut Ehling farmed the property
for many years and had no local relatives. When Mr.Ehling died, his brother from out-of-state sold the
Lproperty to the Perlegos family.'
✓3.0 PAST AND CURRENT SOURCES OF CONTAMINATION
L ✓3.1 Research Methods
NOA employs a standard practice for review of database information. On a street map showing the
location of the subject property, a circle is drawn one-quarter mile out from the property boundaries,
and street maps or web-based mapping services are then used to determine address ranges for all streets
within the quarter mile. All agency databases searchable by address are then searched for these address
ranges.
I
L
L
L 'Personal Communication,September 27,2005.
4
