L %-lod •,., September 28, 2005 /NOA Project Number: E05116A y { 2,2 Aerial Photographs Aerial photographs depicting the subject property dated 1937,1952,1963,1975 and 1983 were reviewed at the SanJoaquin County Surveyor's Office in Stockton,California.; One additional photo,dated 1993, was obtained from Microsoft Terraserver.4 L ✓ In the 1937 photo, the subject property appears to be grazing land with two large trees. A mottled effect from wetlands can be seen on the property and surrounding properties to the south, east, and west. Jahant Road can be seen to the north, followed by orchards, crop land, and rural residences. Orchards with rural residences lie to the east and west. Grazing land can be seen to the south. ` In the 1952 photo,the subject property appears to be an orchard. One or more structures are apparent L in the northeast comer of the property. The trees and wetland areas on the property are no longer apparent The adjacent properties to the west and southeast no longer appear to be orchards,while new orchards have been planted to the east and southwest. /In the 1963 photo, the subject property appears to be a vineyard. The immediate vicinity appears relatively unchanged from the previous photo. L /The scale of the 1975 photo is such as to make discerning site-specific detail impossible. The adjacent property to the west appears to be planted with orchard. L ✓In the 1983 photo,the subject property remains a vineyard. The immediate vicinity appears relatively unchanged from the previous photo. / In the 1993 photo, the subject property appears relatively unchanged from the previous photo. A structure and some debris can be seen to the south of the subject property. L / These photos are included in Appendix C of this report. NOA's ability to interpret the land uses is limited by the scale and quality of the photos. 2.3 USGS Topographic Maps L The topographic quadrangle depicting the subject property is the U.S. Geological Survey,Lockeford, California, quadrangle map. One 7.5-minute map dated 1990 was available through Microsoft + Terraserver. L In the 1990 map,the subject property is depicted as vacant land with a structure and well in its northeast comer.
