Dear Mr. Hoo: SJCOG, Inc.has reviewed applications PA-0500424(UP)this project involves a use permit application for a 40,000 ton large winery to be built over 20 years in 7 phases.Tank capacity of 15.7 million gallons to be built in three phases.Nine buildings totaling 118,283 square feet to be built out in seven phases. Phase 1: 23,667 square foot building for tank farm and storage,2 settling ponds,wetland/water treatment ponds, 960 square foot office,960 square foot caretaker residence,ramp and dump station, and vineyards. Phase 2:22,030 square foot building for tank farm, outside tank farm, 2 settling ponds,expand wetlands/water treatment pond,and wildlife island within water treatment pond.Phase 3: 28,893 square feet warehouses,and outside tank farm. Phase 4: 11,523 square foot bottling building. Phase 5:5,000 square foot building for office and tasting room.Phase 6:5,000 square foot office. Phase 7:20,250 square foot warehouse.This project is located on the northwest corner of Jahant Road,and Lower Sacramento Road,north of Lodi. San Joaquin County is a signatory to San Joaquin County Multi-Species Habitat Conservation and Open Space Plan(SJMSCP).Participation in the SJMSCP satisfies requirements of both the state and federal endangered species acts,and ensures that the impacts are mitigated below a level of significance in compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act(CEQA). Although participation in the SJMSCP is voluntary,lead agents should be aware that if project applicants choose against participating in the SJMSCP,they will be required to provide alternative mitigation in an amount and kind equal to that provided in the SJMSCP.
