The Department has the following comments:
Thi s proposed development may not create a major impact on SR-99 when considered by
itself. However, when combined-with the cumulative impacts of other existing and proposed
development in this area, the resulting traffic Will contribute to the significant congestion
forecasted to the SR-99 mainline and at the interchange of SR-99/Jahant Road. Theretbre,
the Departrnent recommends the collection of impact fees on a "Fair Share"basis for future
improvements to these facilities.
If you have any questions or would like to discuss our comments in more detail, please contact
Dan Brewer at(209)948-7142(e-mail:dan.brewer@dot.ca.gov)or me at(209)941-1921.
Sincerely,
.1
1 Y'
T UMAS,
Office of Intermodal Planning
-callrans iwe vit moulitl ctiross cafipumla"
C
