Soil Suitability Study Sheet 4 of 5
published by the Department Of Health. Education
And Welfare and the requirements of the San Joaquin
County Health Service . Environmental Health
Division .
On June 18 and 19 . 1991 . four (4 ) percolation tests
on the subject property were performed under my
direction in conformance with San Joaquin County
Health District San Joaquin County Ordinance Code
Rules And Regulations (Standards) . The approximate
locations of the percolation test holes are shown
on the attached "Parcel Map" .
The percolation test holes on Parcel Nos . 1 and 2
resulted in the percolation rates and the
determinations shown in the following table as
determined on the attached Field Note Sheets :
Parcel No . Test Hole Percolation Rate Minimum Usable
\o .- (Minutes Per Inch_ Disposal Area
( Square Feet )
1 1A (3 ' ) Failed ----
1 1B ( 25 ' ) 30 12 , 000+pits
2 2B (3 ' ) Failed ----
2 2B ( 25 ' ) 30 12 . 000+pits
RECOMMENDATIONS :
Soil porosity does not permit the use of a
subsurface horizontal leaching field solely and
effluent is recommended to be discharged , in
combination with a subsurface horizontal leaching
field , into seepage pits at a maximum depth of
twenty-five ( 25) feet . Since the 3-foot depth
percolation tests failed to meet San Joaquin County
Health Service . Environmental Health Division
minimum requirements , the sewage disposal system
recommended is a minimum usable 12 .000 square foot
disposal area plus pits in addition .
Well Water Analysis :
Well water from a domestic well at a mobile home on
the west end of the subject property was sampled and
tested for the chemical Dibromochloropane (DBCP) and
Nitrate (\03) . Dibrochloropane (DBCP) was not detected
at or above the detection limit of 0 . 01 :ig/l . The test
ANTHONY AND WTLMA I.OPEZ --- NIS-911 -91
