TESTING <br /> LABORATORY SERVICES <br /> POOL ENGINEERING <br /> POST TENSION DESIGN <br /> L November 8, 2004 <br /> NOA Project Number: E0401 10A <br /> LPART I: SOIL SUITABILITY STUDY <br /> LMAJOR SUBDIVISION PA-04-251 <br /> 9422 EAST JAHANT ROAD <br /> LACAMPO, CALIFORNIA <br /> L <br /> 1.0 INTRODUCTION AND PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT <br /> LOur office was contracted by Ms. Stacey Griffith of Acampo to conduct a soil suitability study for <br /> the proposed major subdivision at 9422 East Jahant Road,Acampo, California. <br /> LThe soil suitability study (SSS)was conducted to determine whether the soils are suitable for use <br /> with a septic system. The study was performed according to the requirements of Section <br /> L 9-1105.2(d) of the San Joaquin County Development. A major element of the field work included <br /> conducting percolation tests that meet the required absorption rates as required by San Joaquin <br /> County,Public Health Services,Environmental Health Department (EHD). <br /> LIn addition to conducting the percolation tests,a review of published soil information,geologic <br /> maps, and ground water information was performed to evaluate the suitability of soils for use with a <br /> septic system. <br /> The formatting of this report has been designed to follow, to the greatest degree possible, <br /> the EHD's Soil Suitability Study Requirements Cbecklisy dated July 14, 2003. <br /> 1.1 Site Description <br /> LThe Site consists of one parcel,Assessor Parcel Number 007-340-09, 59.4 acres in size. The county <br /> application number is PA-04-251i-10ne single-family residence, a shop, and several outbuildings <br /> L were recently demolished at the northern end of the Site. The well and septic system for the <br /> residence were recently abandoned under EHD oversight. The remainder of the Site consists of <br /> vineyard and walnut orchard. One agricultural well is located north of the center of the Site. <br /> L The elevation of the Site,according to a United States Geological Survey topographic map,is <br /> approximately 85-90 feet above mean sea level.
