INTRODUCTION <br /> Mr. John Trinkle is purchasing the investigated property for this report, which is currently owned <br /> by Thomsen Brothers, Inc. Farming Company, and he intends to subdivide the property into <br /> three separate parcels. Schack& Company of Tracy, CA are the civil engineers for the project. <br /> The purpose of this project is to create a ramp and runway, aircraft hangers, an office and rel ed_ <br /> improvements for the Trinkle and Bays, Inc. Agricultural Flying Service. This will be on <br /> proposed Parcel 1. Proposed Pa*ce12 is to be a homesite narceL The remaining property is the <br /> "Designated Remainder." According to the San Joaquin County Development Title, a Surface <br /> and Subsurface Contamination Report (SSCR)must be conducted before Tentative Map <br /> submittal. The purpose of this report was to investigate the subject property for real or potential <br /> environmental contamination and report the findings exclusively to the Client and the San <br /> Joaquin County Environmental Health Department. This report complies with the San Joaquin <br /> County Ordinance, specifically 9-905.12(a) for a "Surface and Subsurface Contamination <br /> Report." <br /> In addition, this report addresses and evaluates non-point sources of hazardous materials, as well <br /> as potential point sources. Non-point sources of hazardous materials include agricultural <br /> chemical residues, high concentration of nitrate laden groundwater and other contaminants which <br /> may have originated from a wide area. Point sources investigated include fuel storage tanks, <br /> septic systems and/or chemical storage areas. <br /> No chemical analysis was conducted for this investigation, and no structures were inspected for <br /> asbestos containing materials (ACMs). An analysis of the on-site domestic well in the southwest <br /> corner of proposed Parcel 1 has not been tested yet for nitrates and the agrichemical <br /> dibromochlorpropane (DBCP). <br /> SITE DESCRIPTION <br /> As illustrated on the attached Tentative Map, Parcel 1, Parcel 2 and the Designated Remainder <br /> consists of a flat, trapezoid-shaped area, with Parcel 1 to be 52.9 acres, Parcell to be 4.1 acres <br /> and the Designated Remainder to be 240.fisgres There are three mobile homes for farm <br /> workers, two of which are on the subject property, along with an existing hay barn. An <br /> agricultural implement storage area with an above ground diesel storage tank is west of the <br /> mobile homes. The entire acreage was planted in wheat. The subject site address and A.P.N. are <br /> referenced above on the Title Page. To the north and south, the site is bordered by agricultural <br /> production land, primarily row crops and pasture. To the west is Interstate 5 and to the east is the <br /> Duel Vocational Institute Prison, which is in alfalfa directly across from Kasson Road.
