Your memo lists 4 requirements that are pertinent to this project.
A. No excavation is permitted into the groundwater table without specific approval from
the Regional Water Quality Control Board, Central Valley Region.
Response: Per our permit# 1600-2008-163-R2 issued by the
Department of Fish and Game, this is a Sandbar Skimming
Project. It is designed to grade the sandbar tip so that the river
remain in its present channel and produce a gradual upslope to
the west as it floods. There is no excavation into the
groundwater table.
B. The materials from an excavation shall not be deposited into any water course nor in
any way contribute to the pollution thereof.
Response: Again per the above mentioned permit a 25 foot
buffer zone must be maintained between the low flow channel
and the extraction area. There will be no materials deposited
into any water course.
- 1 -
