Your memo lists 4 requirements that are pertinent to this project. <br /> A. No excavation is permitted into the groundwater table without specific approval from <br /> the Regional Water Quality Control Board, Central Valley Region. <br /> Response: Per our permit# 1600-2008-163-R2 issued by the <br /> Department of Fish and Game, this is a Sandbar Skimming <br /> Project. It is designed to grade the sandbar tip so that the river <br /> remain in its present channel and produce a gradual upslope to <br /> the west as it floods. There is no excavation into the <br /> groundwater table. <br /> B. The materials from an excavation shall not be deposited into any water course nor in <br /> any way contribute to the pollution thereof. <br /> Response: Again per the above mentioned permit a 25 foot <br /> buffer zone must be maintained between the low flow channel <br /> and the extraction area. There will be no materials deposited <br /> into any water course. <br /> - 1 - <br />
