The project is located within the unincorporated lands of San Joaquin County, APN 255-270-06. <br /> The facility expansion site is located in the New Jerusalem Airport's AIA and falls within the Traffic Pattern <br /> Zone (TPZ). The TPZ is also the boundaries encompassed by FAR Part 77 (Federal Aviation Regulations Part <br /> 77), which regulates obstructions to the navigable airspace. Within this area, any proposal must not result in <br /> hazards to flight, such as:. <br /> • Obstructions to the navigable airspace (i.e. Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) Part 77 defined) <br /> required for flight to, from, and around an airport <br /> • Wildlife hazards,particularly bird strikes ' <br /> • Visual hazards associated with distracting lights, glare, and sources of smoke <br /> • Electronic hazards that may interfere with aircraft instruments or radio communication <br /> The residential land uses proposed are compatible with the 2009 ALUCP Safety Zones for New Jerusalem <br /> Airport. The following are standards and project design conditions specific to compliance with the ALUCP and <br /> should be carried through as.conditions of approval: This is not a mitigation request. These are project design <br /> conditions that are required as part of compliance with the 2009 ALUCP: <br /> 1. New land uses that may cause visual,electronic, or increased bird strike hazards to aircraft in flight shall <br /> w not be permitted within any airport's influence area.
