I am writing to bring to your attention the facts and evidence that Schulz's truck terminal has had & continues to have a detrimental impact on myself, my family, my neighbors, and neighborhood. As tax payers of this county, we have been forced to live with and use a county roadway that is unsafe for our children and ourselves to walk on or drive down only because there is a trucking company with 40 to 50 trucks, 50 to 60 employees and traffic that rolls in and out all hours of the day and night. Our roadway, Kennefick, is 18 ft wide, too narrow for trucking companies let alone a truck terminal. Our children must walk down Kennefick to Jahant, to the bus stop before and a-fter school every day. This is a continuous fear of a tragedy looking for a place to happen. I have seen Schulz's trucks straddle the center yellow line and also have to drive off the edge of the pavement. When the weather is bad, especially foggy weather, one cannot help but wonder when the tragedy will strike. The entrance way to Schulz's property is not adequate for trucks to exit or enter without going across both lanes to make a right hand tum onto the county property (shoulder) which Schulz has paved. The noise is often unbearable with trucks coming in and out all hours of the night. As I sit her writing this objection and with a copy of the "Stipulation for Issuance of Preliminary Injunction & Preliminary Injunction", a truck pulled in at 9:40 p.m.. At 10:05 p.m. the workshop is opened and the air guns are going. The injunction states "with the exception of 3 trucks from 5:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m., and 3 trucks from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., no trucks shall enter or leave the facility before 6:00 a.m. or after 8:00 p.m.. No repair work or operation of trucks shall occur before 6:00 a.m. or after 8.00 p.m.." If Schulz's trucking company was located in an industrial or commercial area where trucking companies are zoned to be, then no one would be infringed upon by the noise, the dirt, the trucks lights in the middle of the night, which I experienced many nights, as the trucks would drive through the work shop their headlights were in direct line of my bedroom windows and the lights would set the room aglow. Then there is the noise of the C.B.'s, the loud speakers & even the air horns. The diesel fumes are nauseating to wake up to besides the noise of the trucks warming up for 15 minutes to half hour. We live with the vibrations and the damages it causes. The existing car parking areas water drains into the yard where my double wide mobile home is located. There are soil erosions under and all around the mobile home.
