.. ..i
January 9,2002
NOA ENVIRONMENTAL PROJECT NUMBER LE01-330
V. HISTORICAL USE INFORMATION
A. Aerial Photographs
Aerial photographs depicting the subject property dated 1937, 1952, 1963, 1975 and 1983 were
reviewed at the San Joaquin County Surveyor's Office in Stockton, California.
1937 - Only a portion of the subject property was visible on the photograph. There are three roads
going through the subject property; one is an extension of Kettleman Lane that turns north through
the property that has a widened area in the middle of the structures ("house compound"), one runs
SSE from the "house compound"to where Kettleman Lane would be, and one goes from the "house
compound" ESE to where Kettleman Lane would be. Most of the rest of the subject property that
can be seen is cultivated. There are five structures of variable size to the east and south of the"house
compound".
1952-Two of the buildings south of the "house compound" are gone and another one has been built.
On the northwest side of the "house compound" there are five structures that are circular in shape in
— a straight, north/south line. There is a trapezoidal reservoir to the WNW of the "house compound",
there is also a road from the "house compound" to the reservoir. A well on the west side of the
north/south road through the subject property, about two thirds of the way up, there is also a road
om t e well tot the reservorr: Everything else remains the same.
---
1963 - The subject property appears to be the same as in 1952.
1975 - One large building is gone from the south end of the "house compound". Another large
building is built on the west side of the "house compound". To the southeast of the "house
compound" there appeared to be tracks on the subject property, however, due the scale and the size
of the photograph it is impossible to make a determination as to the nature of the tracks. Everything
else has remained unchanged from 1952.
1983 -Two very small buildings are gone from the south end of the "house compound". Everything
else on the subject property has remained the same as in 1975.
B. USGS Topographic Maps
The two topographic quadrangles needed to view the property in its entirety were the U.S.
Geological Survey, Clements and Linden, California, 7.5 minute Series (topographic) quadrangle
maps. The Clements quadrangle covers the north half of the property, while the Linden quadrangle
covers the south half
8
