January 9,2002
— NOA ENVIRONMENTAL PROJECT NUMBER LE01-330
VI. INTERVIEWS
An attempt was made to obtain historical as well as current information relative to the subject
property from the property owner or key site manager of the property. The objective of the interview
process is to obtain information indicating recognized environmental conditions in connection with
the proposed project site. An Environmental Questionnaire and Disclosure Statement was completed
by the property owner's legal counsel for use by NOA Environmental for this report. A copy of the
responses have been included in this report as Appendix D.
Information gleaned from the questionnaire submitted and signed by Carol Burnett includes the fact
that the current and past land uses for the subject property are that of pasture grazing and dry land
grain. The questionnaire also states that there will be no new development rather there will only be
a proposed split of acreage. The split is supposed to affect three hundred twenty(320) acres. One
parcel will consistone hundred fifty-nine(159)acres, the second will consist of one hundred fifty-
nine(159) acres, the third represents two (2)acres which includes the residence. The residence does
have a wood burning fireplace which represents the only air emissions that this property produces,
according to the questionnaire. The questionnaire also states that all of the adjacent land-uses are for
pasture grazing and dry land grains. There was no other pertinent information offered on the
questionnaire.
VII. SITE VISIT/ASSESSMENT
A visual reconnaissance of the subject property was conducted prior to the compilation of this report.
Photographs of the subject property are attached to this report as Appendix B. A site
visit/assessment checklist is attached to this report as Appendix C.
The subject property is bounded by East Kettleman Lane for the west 1/4 length of the south side.
A tree nursery business is on the southern portion of the adjacent property to the west.
to be a composting facility for the nursery is on the northern portion of the adjacent p_- _ r to the
vest. Other cattle grazing pasture land, divided by fencing, is every where else that is observable.
The subject property has gently rolling hills and is used as pasture land. There is also a "house
compound" which has a large "driving area" (roughly the size of half of a football field).
Positioned around the "house compound" are buildings and objects described herein. A house and
its yard area are on the south half of the west side. Four small silos (assumed to be used for cattle
feed) are on the north extreme of the west side. Along the north side of the compound various
recycled building materials are stored. The northernmost building on the eastern edge of the
compound is an old barn which has been damaged, probably by storm. South of the damaged barn
are two more sheds and/or outbuildings in good repair. East of these buildings is another barn, not
located on the "house compound" proper, this barn is in good condition. South of the outbuildings
10
