Den Hartog Property Page 2 of 9
Our Project Number: LGS080514
May 23, 2008
V'1.2 Proposed Development
According to a map provided by Baumbach and Piazza Engineering of Lodi, California, the
proposed development is to subdivide the existing 166.58 acres into four (4) approximately 40-
acre parcels.
✓1.3 Site Vicinity
A site vicinity map is included in the appendix of this report as Plate 2.
1.4 Site Map
A site map is included in the appendix of this report as Plate 1.
2.0 PRESENT AND PAST USES OF THE SITE
2.1 Past and Present Site Use
According to the owner, the property was purchased in 2002. The property is used for
agriculture; it is presently planted in vineyard. According to aerial photos obtained from the
San Joaquin Community Development Department, the property was converted from a dairy
around 2002.
✓3.0 EXISTING AND PROPOSED SEPTIC TANK USAGE
1/3.1 Existing On-Site Septic Tank Usage
According to the owner, no septic systems currently exist on the site. No permits were found
during a recent file review at the EHD.
3.2 On-Site Septic Permit History
No on-site septic permits were found for the site during a recent file review at the EHD.
3.3 On-Site Septic Repair Permit History
No on-site septic repair permits were found for the site during a recent file review at the EHD.
3.4 Existing Septic Tank Usage in the Vicinity
In an attempt to determine the septic system density for the vicinity of the site, our office
reviewed a recent aerial photograph of the subject property available from GoogleEarth TM. We
counted the building clusters within one square mile of the site, and made the assumption that
each building cluster has one septic system. Using this method, we determined that there is a
minimum of 15 septic systems per square mile in the immediate vicinity of the site.
The general area consists of agriculture with a few scattered residences.
'-'44
902 Industrial Way•Lodi,CA 95240•209.367.3701 •Fax 209.369.4228 02008 Nei/O.Anderson&Associates,Inc
