As
referenced, a backhoe test pit was dug 50 feet south of the homesite Parcel 1 to a depth of 13 feet.
After eight hours, one foot of water was observed in the test pit, making the depth to water 12 feet
b.g.s.
The 1999 Lines of Equal Elevation Map illustrates the groundwater directional flow to be most
likely in a west-northwesterly direction toward the Delta. However, the Mokelumne River
probably also influences the groundwater flow either toward or away from the River.
Well Drillers' Logs for on-site or nearby domestic wells were not found in the microfiche files at
EHD. Therefore, the underground lithology specific to the subject property could not be discerned.
It is our understanding the property is subject to 100-year flooding, which is based on the Farley
Surveying determination. Surface water runoff from the homesite Parcel will be diverted into the
surrounding vineyard.
y(§4.3 and 4.5) The on-site domestic well near the extreme northeast comer of the Designated
Remainder was sampled first by letting the pump cycle three times to insure that well casing water
and tank water had been purged. The nitrate sample was drawn into a one-half liter plastic bottle
and the DBCP sample was drawn into three VOC glass vials.
The ag irrigation well at the dirt road entrance to Parcel I from Kile Road was then sampled by
allowing the pump to fill the irrigation lines and standpipe, thus ensuring well casing water had
been purged. This irrigation well was only sampled and analyzed for nitrate using a plastic sample
bottle.
Page -4- i
Chesney Consulting
