The holes were excavated to a depth of 42 inches <br />' F, and 8 inches in diameter. The holes were backfilled with 2 inches of"pea gravel". <br /> 5.3 Description of soil lithology as noted from test pit by appropriate professional <br /> �� using industry standard protocol. The soil in this area is classified as Capay Clay and El <br /> Solyo Clay loam as stated in the Soil Survey of San Joaquin County, California as provided <br /> by the United States Department of Agriculture, Soil Conservation Service. <br /> 5.4 Discussion of soil lithology as related to future onsite septic uses: The soil in this <br /> area is classified as Capay Clay and El Solyo Clay Loam as stated in the Soil Survey of <br /> FSan Joaquin County, California as provided by the United States Department of Agriculture, <br /> Soil Conservation Service. The Copay Clay and El Solyo Clay Loam have a slow permeability; <br /> thus the percolation rate was 18-31 min/inch. <br /> F <br /> 6.0 PERCOLATION TEST INFORMATION SECTION <br /> 6.1 Site map showing the location,with concise and accurate dimensions of the <br /> percolation test holes on the parcel: See Appendix. <br /> F6.2 The minimum number of shallow and deep percolation tests were performed for <br /> each parcel: Four shallowpercolation test holes were prepared on the four proposed parcels. <br /> Fi 6.3 Description of the date, time and protocol used to prepare the test hole, including <br /> depth and dimensions of hole, preparation of hole, and depth of water used to presoak <br /> (minimum 12 inches): The shallow test holes were excavated to a depth of 42 inches and <br /> 8 inches in diameter and backfilled with 2 inches of"pea gravel" in accordance with County <br /> Standards. The shallow holes were prepared by Mike Toy on October 5, 2010 at 7:00 a.m. <br /> On October 5, 2010 at 745 a.m. the 24 hours presoak period was started. The holes were <br /> filled with 12 inches of water over the gravel at this time. <br /> F, 6.4 Description of the date, time and condition of the test hole after the 24-hour soak <br /> period (hole still intact, hole dry, preparation of hole, and depth of water used to <br /> presoak(minimum 12 inches): On October 6, 2010 at 8:00 a.m. the shallow test holes <br /> were dry. Six inches of water was added to the holes and the holes were deemed suitable <br /> I ! to continue. The shallow tests passed the minimum County requirements. <br /> 6.5 The test conformed to SJC Policy EH 02-02 (correct depth, diameter, 2" gravel,6" <br /> water refill, correct readings recorded).
