The <br /> project is located in southwestern San Joaquin County, south of the town _ <br /> INTERNET of Tracy and northeast-of-the intersection of Interstates-5 and 580. Koster <br /> consrv.ca.gov Road is to the east of thero e <br /> p p rty and Blewett Road parallels the property <br /> • to the north. Two water projects, the Delta Mendota Canal along the <br /> A R N O L D western property boundary and the Hetch Hetcy aqueduct to the south lie _ <br /> S C H W A R Z E N E G G E R adjacent to the proposed project. The operator is proposing to mine 20 <br /> GOVERNOR million tons of aggregate from the project over a 40-year period. <br /> The Surface Mining and Reclamation Act of 1975 (SMARA) (Public <br /> Resources Code Section 2710 et seq.) and the State Mining and Geology _ <br /> Board regulations for surface mining and reclamation practice (California <br /> Code of Regulations (CCR) Title 14, Chapter 8, Article 1, Section 3500 et <br /> seq., Article 9 Section 3700 et seq.) require that specific items be — <br /> addressed or included in reclamation plans. The following items were not <br /> adequately addressed in the document submitted and we recommend that <br /> the reclamation plan be revised to fully address these items. Information — <br /> in the reclamation plan should be presented at a level of detail adequate <br /> for reviewers to have a clear understanding of the project. In addition, <br /> specific measures that will be implemented should be provided so that <br /> San Joaquin County as Lead Agency can monitor compliance with the <br /> reclamation plan. <br />
