"Install two monitoring wells to a depth of ten feet below the invert elevation of the Delta-Mendota <br /> eologist shall design the monitoring wells. The wells shall be <br /> Canal. A registered engineer or g <br /> ' ds and the Delta-Mendota Canal for monitoring of <br /> located between the Phase 1 sedimentation pon <br /> any shallow perched groundwater. The applicant shall monitor water levels quarterly to ensure that if <br /> a zone of saturation forms beneath the canal, it does not rise to a level higher than the invert of the <br /> k canal. The quarterly monitoring reports shall be sent annually to the Development Services Division <br /> Department and include recommended corrective <br /> of the County Community Develoactions, if <br /> pment Depart <br /> ired if sedimentation ponds are maintained below the <br /> necessary. Such monitoring wells are not requ <br /> invert elevation of the Delta-Mendota Canal or the California Aqueduct." <br /> Public Works Conditions 2.a. 1 2.d. 2.c. 2.f. and 2. . <br /> The revisions to these conditions include the elimination of all references to access from Koster Road, <br /> which will not be used, changes to the required improvements to Blewett Road, and changes to <br /> terminology regarding financial security for road improvements. <br /> Dike <br /> As part of this application, the applicant is proposing to permit a dike around the pond to increase <br /> capacity. Because the ground gently slopes to the east, the dike will taper from a maximum height of <br /> approximately fourteen feet on the east end of the pond to about two feet on the west end. It is a <br /> recommended Condition of Approval that a registered engineer shall design the dike. The dike shall be <br /> designed in such a way that no more than fifty (50) acre-feet of water is stored against it and a minimum . <br /> of three (3)feet of freeboard is provided. The design of the dike shall be reviewed and approved by an <br /> independent engineering or geo-technical firm selected by the Community Development Department. <br /> Said review shall be at the expense of the applicant. <br /> General Pian Consistency <br /> This revision is consistentwith the principles in the General Plan 2010 Review adopted by the Board of <br /> Supervisors as Board Action B-00-437 on April 11,2000. <br /> QX-96-11Traina <br /> San Joaquin County <br /> Community Development -9- <br />
