Recommendations <br /> Action <br /> It is recommended that the Planning Commission: <br /> 1. Approve the Negative Declaration,and <br /> 2. Approve the Revisions of Approved Actions application for Quarry Excavation No.QX-964. <br /> Findin s <br /> 1. The proposal is for the removal of regionally significant or scarce deposits of mineral resources and not <br /> for the removal of prime farmland. <br /> The proposed Revisions do not change that this Finding can be made because the project is <br /> not considered a conversion of prune farmland. Following excavation,the site will be <br /> returned to agricultural uses. <br /> 2. The proposed reclamation of the property upon completion of the excavation will leave the property in a <br /> condition which will allow its reuse. <br /> The proposed Revisions do not change that this Finding can be made because the <br /> rehabilitation plan approved for this quarry excavation will return the site to agriculture. <br /> 3. The applicant shall monitor water levels quarterly to ensure <br /> that if a zone of saturation forms beneath the canal it does not rise to a level higher than the <br /> invert of the canal.
