This information can then be used to assess which wells represent upgradient
and which wells represent downgradient groundwater conditions. Each of the monitoring wells will
be sampled after pumping the wells for approximately 15 minutes and otherwise as generally
described in Attachment B. The water purged from the three deep irrigation/production wells will
be discharged onto the ground.
i
A total of three groundwater samples from the deep irrigation/production wells will be submitted
under chain-of-custody control to a State of California approved laboratory for the following
analysis:
•
General Minerals EPA Methods
The samples will be analyzed on a normal laboratory schedule requiring approximately two
weeks (ten working days) for completion unless the optional rush analytical turnaround is
requested by the client at an additional charge.
SHALLOW WELL MONITORING
The three shallow monitoring wells to be installed at the subject site will be sounded on a quarterly
basis by DSS personnel. DSS personnel will keep records of findings from these soundings on a
quarterly basis and notify Kleinfelder if more than 6 inches of water is found in one or more of the
three shallow monitoring wells. If significant amounts of water are noted in any of the three
shallow monitoring wells, Kleinfelder will forward recommendations to DSS and the San Joaquin i
County CDD on a time and expense basis at DSS's request.
Task E05 - Reporting j
Upon completion of the field activities, a report of our observations and findings will be '
prepared. The report will include:
• A description of the field activities, observations, and protocols
• Lithologic Logs
• A graphical representation of monitoring well locations
I
• Description and documentation of QA/QC procedures employed for field and laboratory
work
All information gathered during the study by Kleinfelder is considered confidential and will be
released only upon written authorization from the client or as required by law. California law
requires a person to inform the state if a situation is encountered that can be considered an
immediate endangerment to the public's health or welfare and/or to the environment.
